Glitzy, grisly, grimy and gritty: this nighttime walk is an amble through a working-class Mumbai neighbourhood which was once the cinematic and political centre of the city. This walk is also a feminist attempt at reclaiming the night, as we walk through dark alleys and pathways I was told to avoid as a young girl. We tip our collective hats to forgotten legendary figures along the way, before ending at ther 90+ year-old Cafe de la Paix for bun-maska and chai.
