The walk culminates at the remnants of one of Bombay’s most renowned type foundries, offering a glimpse into a fading chapter of the city's design heritage.
Tanya George is an independent typographer, type designer, and design educator based in Bombay. She pursues a wide-ranging independent practice that includes artistic pursuits anchored in letterforms as well as designing letters for brand identities as well as fonts across different Indian Scripts. She also conducts TypeWalks around Mumbai, along with typography workshops, and writes about type. She is a docent and India correspondent for the Letterform Archive.
