This walk tells the story of cotton mills in India that made millionaires over the centuries while the city transformed, gentrified and abandoned the mills altogether. Going back to the American Civil War to learning about cotton fueled the Industrial Revolution and how Bombay's staple street food came about along with stories of the mill strike and how their eventual decline paved the way for glitzy malls and houses, this is a walk that shows the city's gentrification in close detail. The walk ends at PCO, Lower Parel, with a textile-themed cocktail for participants.
