Tulpa – Uttan Art Festival

" Tulpa ” in the Bombay East Indian dialect means “ to crave for.” It’s an unusual name for an art festival, but it arises from a deep, collective yearning - shared by Mogan Rodrigues, Wigbert Piedade, and Yash Sheth - to celebrate Uttan and the unique culture of its community through art. It is also to bring alive a thirst to discover the inherent creative spirit in each of us .Tulpa is a living gallery where the lines between artists, subjects and participants dissolve to create a fluid environment of exchange; where the landscape and its people immerse with artists and visitors to create rich memories, experiences, and emotions in photography, clay, murals, music, walks and more...

Come, be a part of the revelation!

Gravitating towards photography came naturally, Ian's dad, Brendan C Pereira, A creative director and co-founder of Chaitra Advertising and a legend in the history of advertising in India discovered Ian's talent and nurtured it.

When at college doing his BCom, He used to work at Ram Prabhu's studio learning the basics of photography. In 1979, He went to London to acquire a Diploma in professional photography from the polytechnic of central London. He set up a shop in Mumbai, India, In November 1984, Since then He has learned few things about his strength in Photography.
