About the movie

The Perks of Being a Wallflower follows the story of Charlie, an introverted high school freshman who struggles with mental health issues and traumatic memories from his past. As he begins his first year of high school, he feels isolated and lost until he befriends two charismatic seniors, Sam and her stepbrother Patrick. With their help, Charlie begins to open up, discovering friendship, love, and acceptance.

Set in the early 1990s, the film delves into themes of mental health, trauma, and the impact of relationships, capturing the highs and lows of teenage life. Through the course of the story, Charlie learns to embrace his experiences and his unique perspective, ultimately finding his voice.
