Delhi is dotted with so many heritage structures, some standing tall after centuries and some in ruins, but each of them has a myriad of stories to tell. Almost every neighbourhood of Delhi is dotted with parks or just scattered ruins lying in the locality. Thus, to reclaim such long forgotten stories in the many neighborhoods of Delhi, we will go through trails which aren’t very mainstream and through structures which do not get their due in the history of Delhi.
The Lodhi Gardens is one such park, which we often visit, but rarely do we recognise the monuments scattered in them or know the many stories beheld in them. So let’s go ahead and explore this lush garden in Delhi’s one of the most posh localities and know the journey of this place along with stories from the lesser known era of Delhi after Taimur’s siege to the advent of the Mughals. We’ll also encounter some very tranquil spots on this walk, which I personally love and make up for beautiful photo ops if you are a social media lover like I am!
