Join us as we travel back in time to the monuments which mark the foundation of the Delhi Sultanate. After Mohammad Ghori conquered Delhi, he appointed Qutub-ud-din Aibak as the General and headed back to his province. Qutub-ud-din Aibak soon crowned himself the Sultan of Delhi, thus laying the foundation of the Delhi Sultanate.
There are various controversies and fables surrounding the Qutub Minar and the Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque. We will decode these fallacies and theories and look back in history at the journey of these structures.
We will also look back at the life and times of the two greatest Sultans of Delhi, Emperor Iltutmish and Alauddin Khilji, both of whom are buried within the Qutub Complex very near to each other but strikingly different from each other in life as well as death. As we delve deeper, we will see how the Qutub Complex glorifies the irony between the ambitious life of Alauddin Khilji and his fate after death. We will discover the dreams of both these Sultans by looking at the finished, unfinished and ruined extensions added to the complex by them.
