Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary

Guwahati's own hidden Kaziranga (minus the tigers!). It’s said to have the highest density of the indigenous Rhinoceros within a given radius, which makes the magnificently rare animal become fairly comfortable with human contact. You can see them as close as 50m away just doing their own thing. Drive past the sanctuary in your own vehicle or right through it in a jeep safari. Just about 1.5 hours away from Guwahati by road, which is a scenic rural Assam drive you wouldn’t want to miss.
