Unravelling the story of Mumbai through Objects and their Stories- JOIN FOR ONE DAY, TWO OR ALL THREE DAYS
On the first day, we visit The HAFFKINE Institute which was established by Dr Waldemar Haffkine as a “ Plague Research Laboratory” in 1899 to research on a possible vaccine for the Cholera and Bubonic Plague at that time.
It now has a MUSUEM to showcase Haffkine’s groundbreaking and important research in microbiology.
We will be exploring this musuem, which is deeply connected to Mumbai, her growth and migration story with a peek into its past colonial and pre-colonial history along with a delve into the life and contribution of Dr Haffkine through Story-telling and object exploration.
This experience has been simplified and structured for children 6 years and up. Below 8 years need an Adult/Parent/Nanny etc.Above 8 years can come solo at Parent discretion.
