The high street of Salzburg which is preserved in time. Look up and you can see the wrought iron cast logos of what the shops used to be. From Zara, hm, Aesop, rituals to luxury brands - this street has it all. It also hosts the Saturday market and has many tiny passages, each of which has different treasures to discover, including the best ‘Bosna’ ( Salzburg’s hot dog with curry powder and parsley). The end of the street opens up to the majestic Dom Platz with the cathedral of Salzburg and the festung, which is the castle. Come September, the Domplatz transforms into a carnival celebrating the patron saint of Salzburg, St. Rupertus.
