A fun journey from Cashew Harvest - Stomping - Roasting Nuts to Distilling Feni
Experience the day long Cashew Trail, taking you through the artisanal process of Feni and Urak production. Try your hand at Cashew collection, stomping of fruits, and learn how we distill the popular Urak and Cashew Feni. Literally get your hands dirty while knocking up some freshly roasted Cashew nuts.
The location for this experience is Dudhsagar Plantation, the home of OURO Spiced Premium Cashew Feni.
We start the day with a brief introduction of Dudhsagar Plantation, followed by a guided walk 'know your spices' to work up an appetite. Our Cashew Apple themed lunch is an opportunity to sample rare delicacies made with the aromatic cashew fruit. We then proceed to the orchard to pick some cashews, which need to be de-seeded before the stomping starts. This is a fun activity, but make sure to wear some old clothes as the aromatic cashew juice can splash around and leave stains. Once the juice starts flowing, we can relax while understanding the process of distillation right at our traditional copper pot still. We still have some time to dig into some freshly fire-roasted cashew nuts before closing the day with a Feni appreciation session.
