Drypoint Printing Workshop
"Drypoint on acrylic sheet" refers to the printmaking technique of creating an image by scratching lines into a sheet of acrylic using a sharp tool, essentially "drypointing" on a plastic surface instead of the traditional copper plate, allowing you to then ink and press the plate onto paper to produce a print
In this workshop you will be learning how to make a drypoint plate using an acrylic sheet and how to print it. All the materials will be provided. The tools will be provided only for use. No prior experience required, we will teach you from scratch. You take home your carved plate with 2 prints. 🖼️🖼️
If you have a composition in mind that you want to work on, please get a sketch or a print out of it.
*Please keep in mind to choose a simple composition. Avoid compositions that require a lot of intricate carving.
*Please reach the venue by 11am. Avoid wearing light coloured clothes.
