While most of the fort that gives Fort Kochi its name was destroyed by the Dutch and British, a small part of the fort remains as part of Bastion Bungalow - that also hosts the Ernakulam District Heritage Museum. Worth a visit if only to walk up to the terrace for views of the very photogenic Chinese Fishing Nets - the ubiquitous structures so closely associated with Kochi.
