Ustad Rafique Khan and Shafique Khan are twin sitar maestros. Hailing from a legendary musical family spanning seven generations, these brothers bring their shared heritage to life on stage. With a lineage spanning seven generations, Ustad Rafique Khan is celebrated for preserving the purity of raagas while seamlessly blending the lyrical Gayaki Ang (mimicking vocal nuances) with the intricate Tantrakari Ang (focused on rhythm and speed). Shafique Khan carries the family’s illustrious legacy with a unique style that highlights meditative Alap and stunning Gamak Tans.
