This outdoor experience is for young explorers to connect with nature and discover a forest in Mumbai. All of this through a cultural lens of the Warli tribal communities who reside in Aarey forest. Children put their curiosity hats on to explore Aarey through a guided nature trail, create rangoli using natural elements, make torans from fresh flowers, learn and create their own Warli paintings. Lot's of outdoor games that keep the group energised and together, making it a perfect blend of learn and play.
Itinerary:
Introductions, of each other and the forest: Learn about each other through a fun interactive activity and hear interesting stories about Aarey Forest and its landscape.
Guided Nature Trail: Get introduced to the forests treasures through an unexplored nature trail in Aarey Forest. Experience the sights, sounds, and scents of this forest in Mumbai.
Forest Kitchen Garden Exploration: Walk through rice fields into a kitchen garden, learn about local herbs, fruits and vegetables. Eat a fresh fruit from the tree (if ripe).
Rangoli with Natural elements: Join the tribal community to learn about elements of nature and create your own piece of rangoli with these natural elements.
Toran making with fresh flowers: Pick flowers and leaves from the forest to make your own toran for your home.
Warli Painting: Learn its history and meaning behind Warli paintings, guided by a local Warli artist. Create your own art piece on a Palash leave.
Home cooked meal: Savor a delicious local vegetarian meal prepared by the tribal community, and learn about their culinary heritage over conversations.
Play in the outdoors: Enjoy interactive games, learning sessions, and more outdoor activities to deepen your connection with nature and each other.
