From a Dissatisfied Governor to a Devout Sufi with a mysterious companion who saw it all: A walk through Mehrauli tracing the advent of the Mughals and the fall of the Sultanate in Delhi.
The first city of Delhi, Mehrauli, was where the Delhi Sultanate was established and this is also where we see major traces from the last flicker of the Sultanate and the gradual shift of the advent of Mughal rule in the city. Join us as we set forth to discover a trail dotted with structures reminiscent of these changing times.
We witness a beautiful sunset in the backdrop of the Qutub Minar, from Dilkusha, a tomb bearing witness to the glorious times of the Mughal rule and the blatantly obstinate renovations of the British in their bid to imbibe the taste of the Mughal Royalty, but in their own style, thus marking the end of an era of monarchy, dotted with tales of love, greed and treachery.
