The Balsamand Lake Palace is a massive red stone structure on the banks of the not-so-big but charming Balsamand Lake and was built by the Raja in the 17th century. Once home to royalty, the property is now converted to a hotel. The massive 60 acre property is surrounded by fruit orchards, lawns and floral plantations. The cherry on the top is the amazing food served here, especially the kebabs that are appreciated by locals and tourists alike - their in-house chef is well-known and a meal here is local approved.
