Way Back Home is a special homestay set amidst apple orchards in the picturesque Kullu valley.
Made by hand, each brick has been chiselled out of boulders found on location, in turn providing an avenue to the dying art of stone cutting. Each room brings together natural elements and design elements that form a unique space. Expect boulders in your room, hand-made rock basins, mud walls, cosy nooks, and a lot more. All of the furniture in the common dining/library space has been made using waste wood from the construction.
Expect local cuisine with dishes like siddu, madra, bichchu booti chutney, and Himachali Tawa chicken, or more continental fare like a hearty soup or an apple galette using food grown from produce from the backyard.
What's outside? Open a window and you have views of snow-capped peaks and meadows all around, with an entire apple and orange orchard to yourself. And, of course, the mighty Pir Pinjal and Dhauladhar ranges.
