The Ministry of Resting Poetics: A poetry writing workshop on the theme of rest, revival & forgiveness
Dillipoetry, with over seventy poetry walks/workshops in the past years, has been melding poetry into themes that stir, pucker, and reprieve—bringing together a community of individuals who see poetry as a raging possibility amidst the resigned world.
What does rest look like in poetry? How have poets and artists held space for stillness and rigor—together—in their work over the years? How does poetry as a process of writing, reading, and reciting subvert the false ideas of rush, urgency, productivity, and lead us to something remotely glinting as self-compassion?
A two-hour-long poetry writing workshop comes right at the end of your mad week - a week fraught with deadlines, unanswered emails, and impromptu meetings — not only as a reminder of rest & forgiveness but a gentle reflection on them
This workshop will guide participants through a blend of facilitated reflection, creative writing exercises, and absurd intermingling of medium—literary, and visual—to engage with themes like rest, revival , and forgiveness. It’s a space for deep self-inquiry, unlocking creativity, and brushing aside the ever-familiar writing block.
Also, the workshop will take place at the plush property of Novotel, New Delhi - coffee & snacks will be served.

About Dillipoetry: Dillipoetry is a literary platform dedicated to de-pedestalizing poetry—making it accessible, experiential, and embodied. Over the past two years, Dillipoetry has curated and hosted more than 60 poetry walks and workshops on themes such as the climate emergency, queer ecology & intimacies, poetry of resistance, romanticism, identity, and our relationship with the natural world.
In this time, Dillipoetry has cultivated an intimate community of over a hundred poets across the city, creating spaces of beauty, reflection, and dialogue—spaces where poetry becomes a way of witnessing, questioning, and reimagining the world.
At the heart of our work lies a recurring inquiry: What does it mean to be human in this time, age, and politics? Through poetry, we seek not only to articulate this question but to live it—together.
