Tales and Twirls: Exploring nature through dance by Amritha Nair will combine storytelling, dance, and movement play, focusing on nature. Designed for children aged 6 and above, this 60 to 75-minute workshop will explore nature through expressive movements, mudras, and interactive storytelling. Through simple Bharatanatyam elements and stories from around the world, it will encourage imagination, a sense of rhythm, and body expression in a fun and accessible way.

As a Collection and Research Associate, Amritha Nair catalogues, documents and assists in preserving objects in the Sarmaya collection. She also contributes to research on collections for specific projects. Amritha is keenly interested in traditional Indian performing arts, indigenous cultures, mythology, and religious iconography.

There will be a walkthrough of the exhibition- In The Dappled Light: Seeking Nature in Art, Science, and the Spirit at Sarmaya Arts Foundation on view until 4th May 2025, followed by the workshop.
