Tucked away in the bylanes of Bandra is a roastery, bakehouse and experiential cafe all housed under one beautifully designed roof. Only raw materials enter Subko’s roastery - all the coffee and bakehouse products are crafted from scratch, in house. SUBKO will, no doubt, be successful in meeting their goal of reimagining the Indian subcontinent as a legitimate contributor to the global specialty coffee and craft baking movements. Their founder and chief roaster Rahul Reddy has a Q Grader certification - widely considered the globe’s premier coffee ‘sommelier’ certification for sensory analysis of coffee and their ‘Head of Bread’ Daniel Trulson is among the premier talents in bread making and viennoiserie in India. We love everything about them - their coffee and bakery products are truly outstanding; their unrelenting commitment to sustainability should set a standard for other independent f&b brands and their thoughtful focus on indigenous design and aesthetics is apparent at every touch point.
