We're heading back to our old stomping grounds at the Dr Bhau Daji Lad Museum in Byculla, to catch Sameer Kulavoor's solo "Limits of the Town". Curated by Museum Director, Tasneem Zakaria Mehta, the exhibition takes as its starting point the history of Bombay Fort, demolished in the 1860s, and the shifting notions of boundaries and urban forms within the city.
Sameer's works are ruminations on the ever-changing metropolis and what it means to exist in it, capturing its ephemerality, idiosyncrasies and multiplicity, much of which often goes unnoticed, unrecorded or undocumented.
Open to everyone interested in engaging with art, no prior art background required.
*Please note: Registrations for the event close on Thursday, 27 April at 7 PM.
