Step into the world of Storytelling through art with an interactive Show & Tell and film screening at the Sarmaya Archive. Discover how Indigenous and traditional Indian art forms have long served as powerful storytelling mediums. Close Up on Storytelling is a special edition of Saturdays @ Sarmaya that invites participants to explore how narratives take shape through diverse materials and media. This session shines a light on the shadow puppetry traditions of Tholu Bommalata and Togalu Gombeyaata and the intricate and diverse storytelling style of Mithila paintings.
