Strings & Stories : A date with Flamenco

This is not a concert.

And it’s not a performance you watch from a distance.

In this Listening Club session, flamenco guitarist Deepak Verma invites us into a slower, more intimate way of experiencing music - one that’s felt before it’s understood.

Flamenco is often described as music of fire, longing, and rhythm. But what happens when we don’t rush to interpret it? When we let the sound move through us, without naming or analysing it?

This evening blends live flamenco guitar with guided listening and gentle reflection - creating space to notice what the music stirs, where it settles in the body, and how rhythm can speak without words.

We’ll gather together, allowing the music to unfold - unhurried and uninterrupted.

About Deepak Verma

Deepak Verma is a flamenco guitarist based in Sevilla ( Spain) & Mumbai, whose work explores rhythm, emotion, and restraint as much as sound.

Trained in the flamenco tradition yet deeply intuitive in his approach, Deepak treats music not as performance, but as conversation. His playing is shaped by an attention to silence, pause, and the spaces between notes inviting listeners to feel before they interpret.

At Listening Club, Deepak joins us not as a performer on a stage, but as a holder of sound guiding the room into a slower, more embodied way of listening.
