What is our relationship with our most immediate neighbours—the elements? Our current disconnect from the planet’s co-tenants has fundamentally altered our bodies and minds. Any holistic attempt to establish a lasting bond with nature needs us to see, not just glance; hear, not just listen cursorily; inhale, not just sniff.
What if we try and have an aesthetic dialogue with all reality: animal, floral & mineral?
The workshop:
Sensory immersion: Under a grove of trees, begin with a session of guided meditation. Led by expressive arts practitioner Puneeta Roy, experience nature’s alliances, support systems and the quiet competitiveness of an ecosystem.
Collaborative curation: Get an introduction to the navrasas with writer & poet Sumana Roy. Share an art form that has resonated with you: An excerpt from a book, recite a poem, interpret a painting or even share why a piece of music moves you.
High tea & reflection: A brief interlude for refreshments and informal conversation. Let the experiences of the afternoon settle before you transition to the melodies of the evening.
Musical finale: Allow the notes and rhythms of a music recital by vocalist Ujwal Nagar to wash over you. The programme will showcase raags and compositions that elicit renewal, joy & a celebration of life.
