Overshadowed by its more famous cousin, the Corbett National Park in the Kumaon region, the Rajaji National Park is an 820 square kilometres biodiversity area in Garhwal. Spread across the foothills of the Dehradun and Haridwar districts, the park is home to over 50 major mammal species including tigers and elephants, and over 300 species of birds.
