PoV Lecture 3: Khamma Ghani from the Aravallis

For our upcoming lecture, we’re bringing you Anshu Sharma — storyteller, copywriter, and cultural thinker with 18 years of experience in advertising. From shaping iconic brand narratives to collaborating with filmmakers, Anshu has spent his career decoding how stories shape cities, cultures, and collective memory.

In Khamma Ghani from the Aravallis, Anshu takes us on a layered journey through Jaipur - its history, trade routes, urban planning, myths, urban legends, and cultural contradictions. This session looks beyond postcards and palaces to uncover how the city has been imagined, marketed, misunderstood, and remembered over time. Expect sharp insights, forgotten anecdotes, and stories you won’t find in guidebooks. All of this, over a complimentary LoneWolf beer or mocktail at the lovely Starlight Club, Mansarovar.

About the Speaker:

Anshu Sharma is a storyteller with 18 years of experience in advertising. A copywriter and cross-country motorcyclist, he has won accolades including Effies, Cannes, and WARC. His work spans brands like RCB, Union Bank of India, Asian Paints, Bajaj Platina, and Saregama Carvaan. He has also worked with filmmakers Sudhir Mishra and Avinash Das on DaasDev and Anarkali of Aarah. Currently, he is a full-time storyteller at Chitra Katha – A Story Per Stay, and the founder of Arthjam, an advertising agency that also functions as an independent music label.
