How to Make a Song: End your 2025 with a song of your own
Most people think songs arrive fully formed. A melody in the shower. A lyric scribbled at 2 AM. A sudden flash of inspiration. The truth is far less romantic and far more interesting. Songs are built. Slowly, intentionally, sometimes awkwardly, out of thoughts, feelings, half-finished lines and moments you cannot quite explain.
In this special end-of-year Pint of View session, Imon, singer-songwriter, music producer and educator, invites you into the process of making a song from scratch. This is a hands-on, supportive workshop designed for everyone. Whether you are just starting out, stuck midway, or have been writing for years and feel creatively blocked.
Building a song while fighting self-doubt, time constraints and creative blocks is not easy. Waiting endlessly for inspiration rarely helps either. This session offers practical tools, gentle frameworks and fresh techniques to help you write more freely and with intention.
By the end of the session, you will walk away with concrete songwriting tools and a clearer sense of how to return to the page, again and again, without fear. Think of it as a space to listen closely, write honestly, and leave the year with something that is truly yours.

Imon is a Delhi-based singer-songwriter, music producer and educator from Guwahati, Assam. With over ten years of performance experience and five years of teaching, his work often reflects on home, distance and what it means to belong.
