Welcome to Pint of View – Bangalore's first-ever community where classroom-styled lectures meet craft cocktails in pubs and bars.

This edition, we’re bringing BACK TO YOU Apekshita Varshney, journalist, development professional, and founder of HeatWatch—a volunteer-run initiative tracking the human cost of rising heat. From unreported deaths to overlooked vulnerabilities, Apekshita’s work sheds light on the hidden toll of India’s growing climate crisis. She was a lecturer in our 3rd edition to a packed house and due to popular demand, we are bringing her back!

In her talk Too Hot to Handle: India’s Growing Climate Crisis, she’ll explore how heat silently reshapes our lives, how unprepared our cities really are, and what building resilience could mean, all sparking conversations over Geist beer on tap at Fandom at Gilly's Redefined, Koramangala.

What to Expect:

  • A 45-minute lecture revealing the lived realities of climate change in India
  • 15 minutes of interactive Q&A to dive deeper into the solutions and challenges
  • A chance to understand how global warming impacts human lives and reshapes human stories
  • One Geist beer on tap & a complimentary mocktail or an appetiser included with your ticket
  • A lively mixer where you can connect with curious minds and share your own perspectives on climate, community, and change

This isn’t your typical climate talk. Through storytelling and lived experience, we’ll look squarely at one of the most urgent crises of our time, together, in the informal setting of a pub lecture.
