Philosophers are often dismissed as "investigators of the obvious," yet nothing is more obvious or more complex than our intimate lives. Today, we take the philosopher’s lens into the most private of spaces.
From the blurred lines of consent to the curious way we objectify those we love in the ultimate act of intimacy, this session demystifies the ethics of desire. Dr. Chaitanya Joshi argues that the most profound mysteries aren’t found in ancient dusty tomes, but are hidden within our daily routines and the "Ethics of Everydayness."
Trigger Warning: This session involves candid, mature discussions regarding sexual ethics, consent, and the philosophy of the body. We approach these topics with intellectual rigor, psychological safety, and mutual respect.
Join us at Red Rhino as we bring philosophy out of the ivory tower and onto the bar table. Dr. Joshi will guide us through the moral weight of our "ordinary" desires, challenging us to look at the bedroom not just as a place of instinct, but as a site of profound ethical negotiation.
