Singapore born Australian Sashi Cheliah, winner of Masterchef Australia in 2018 brings India its first taste of Peranakan cuisine. Think tamarind, coconut milk, pandan leaves, and a blend of Malay, Singaporean, Chinese and Indian influences and you essentially have a flavour party at this special and must-try restaurant. The term ‘Peranakan’ refers to local born or local descendants in Malay, and the cuisine is a unique blend of Chinese, Malay and Indian food culture.
