About Chef Marina Balakrishnan
Chef Marina, a culinary visionary, has transformed the Sadya experience at Oottupura. Hailing from Thalassery, North Malabar, her lifelong love for food blossomed into a mission to highlight the often-overlooked vegetarian treasures of Kerala cuisine. With expertise honed at the Natural Gourmet Institute and Michelin-starred GAA, she brings a global perspective to her local roots. Marina believes that every meal, from the humble Oonu to the grand Sadya, is an opportunity to nourish both body and soul, a philosophy instilled in her by her grandmother.
