Spend an afternoon at the Malenadu Table, a slow and immersive food experience that celebrates the micro cuisines of the Western Ghats of Karnataka.
This gathering brings together the diverse food cultures of the Malnadu belt, including the forested hills of Shimoga and Tirthahalli, the Are Malnadu coffee regions of Hassan and Chikmagalur, and the distinctive culinary traditions of Kodagu. Each of these landscapes has its own ingredients, techniques, and food stories, shaped by rainfall, biodiversity, and community memory.
We begin with a relaxed visit to a regenerative farm within Bangalore city limits. You get to walk the land, see what is growing, and understand how soil, seasons, and sustainable practices influence the food on your plate. From there, we move into a breezy outdoor setting where we sit together and explore the culinary anthropology of the Western Ghats. Expect stories about seasonal eating, native crops, forgotten ingredients, and the incredible biodiversity of this region.
The experience continues with a thoughtfully curated seven course meal, available in both vegetarian and non vegetarian formats. The menu is progressive in style and rooted in tradition, offering a guided taste of what the Malnadu regions have to offer, course by course.
To close the afternoon, guests harvest fresh produce themselves and take it home, along with a small goodie bag put together from the farm and kitchen.
This is not just a meal. It is a field visit, a food story session, and a shared table that connects land, culture, and cuisine in one flowing experience.
