Nurpur Fort got its name when the famous Mughal queen, Nur Jahan visited it. Years after that the local king then renovated it to turn the main court area into a temple that is the centre attraction for visitors now. As it is with many historical sites that aren't touristic, this fort is slowly fading away but still has plenty of hope for discovery. From animal paintings on the walls that show the village life to a well that sits in the courtyard to intricate artwork on the arches that make for a brilliant sight. History lovers, this fort is the destination for you.
