Nishat Garden

Any trip to Kashmir is incomplete without the mandatory visit to Nishat Bagh, a 12-terraced Mughal Garden built on the Eastern shore of the Dal Lake. Nishat bagh translates to the ‘Garden of Joy’ and a glimpse at it will prove why. Designed and built in 1633, Nishat Bagh’s chinar-lined avenues against the backdrop of the Zabarwan Hills is a sight to behold in every season as the trees change their colour.
