The oldest and biggest auction house in South India, Murrays was established in 1927 adjoining the High Court of Madras. It’s focus was on immovable property in the beginning but soon Murray’s auctions became known for showcasing quality artefacts and furniture. Their Sunday auctions which have been held every Sunday for many decades are the perfect place to go on a Sunday morning to score yourself something quirky and perhaps even something rare and valuable. Frequented by furniture collectors and designers, the auction hall is definitely an experience not to be missed.
