Welcome to Middle Room

This is an intimate listening bar designed for deep listening, tucked within Courtyard, a culture-first space in the heart of Bangalore. Inspired by Japanese jazz kissas and global audiophile bars, it’s built as an ode to old Bangalore and the music and beer rooms that once defined it.

This is a room tuned for sonic clarity. Vinyl, analog gear, intentional acoustics, and a tightly curated music program are at the core of the experience.

The Team Behind Middle Room

At the helm is Sri Rama Murthy (Murthovic), our resident selector and longtime crate digger, who has spent the past year collecting vinyl from around the world for this space. Alongside him, Avinash (co-founder of Elsewhere India) co-curated the music program and developed the visual design of the room. In the kitchen, Chef Adithya Kidambi serves a tavern-style menu built for the room - honest bar food designed to complement the listening experience, not interrupt it. The drinks program, curated by Arijit Bose, brings beer back to the center. Expect clean pours, bold local brews, and a few unfussy beer cocktails that pair perfectly with the pace of the room. Conceived by Akhila Srinivas, founder of Courtyard and now Middle Room, she brought together collaborators across sound, design, food, and culture to create a bar experience that’s rare in India: quiet, analog, and tuned for deep attention.

Terms & Conditions

1. Tables/seats are reserved in 2-hour slots. Our team will give you a 15-minute heads-up before your slot ends. We recommend arriving on time to make the most of your listening experience.
2. No-shows and cancellations are non-refundable. However, bookings may be rescheduled within the same week if requested at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled slot.
3. Entry will only be permitted against a valid ticket confirmation.
4. Children aged 7 and above are welcome, but all guests, regardless of age, need to book a seat to be allowed entry.
5. Alcohol will be served only to guests aged 21 and above. Please carry a valid government-issued ID for age verification.
6. No pets allowed inside the space.
7. Each ticket is valid only for the specific seating category chosen at booking.
8. No outside food or drink is permitted.
9. Please note that the Middle Room is a low-noise, high-listening environment. This is an intimate experience, and we ask all guests to respect the artist, the audience, and the atmosphere by adhering to the house rules once inside the space.
10. In case of disruptive behaviour, the Middle Room team reserves the right to admission.
11. If your friends have booked separately and you'd like to be seated together, please reach out to our POC at +91 6364942337. We’ll do our best to accommodate you.
12. The management will not be held liable for any issues, claims, or adverse reactions arising from the consumption of food or beverages at the venue. Guests consume items at their own discretion.
13. In case of session cancellation, ticket holders will be informed and refunded in full.
14. Photos and videos taken during the event may be shared on social media. If you prefer not to be featured, please inform a member of our team upon arrival.
15. Limited valet parking is available on charge at Rs. 200 per vehicle.
