With easy access from most parts of the city, Kukkarahalli Lake is one of Mysore’s treasures. Restored in 2004, the lake and its surroundings are home to some of Karnataka’s best bird life — pelicans, storks, cormorants and moorhen. With an approximately 5km perimeter, Kukkarahalli Lake is a great spot for runners and walkers alike. Open at the crack of dawn, Kukkarahalli Lake is meeting ground for friends, families and nature enthusiasts — showing up at 6-6:30am ensures minimal crowds.
