One of the many forts in Himachal, this one is situated in the town of Kotla, on the Dharamshala - Pathankot road. A short soothing hike through pine trees will take you to the fort. There is a Baglamukhi maa temple right at the entrance that's believed to have been built by the Pandavas. But there is also another tiny temple inside dedicated to Lord Ganesha.
Religious reasons aside, the fort offers beautiful valley views and ample points that make the perfect backdrop to photos. The arches invoke joy in architecture enthusiasts while there are also remnants of paintings on the walls. All in all, a quick trip here with family would be fruitful.
