When we say 'not-an-art-making class' we mean it! Our aim is to get small ones into galleries and get them comfortable in a space that intimidates most adults!
We'll get them excited about the contemporary art of our time through closer observation, discussion and animated debate. We want them to fall in love with the experience of seeing art in person, interpreting what's in front of them and fully access making connections to the world around them.
If you think your kid would love to spend a Saturday morning looking and talking about art, sign them up! For this edition we'll be visiting the historic Dr Bhau Daji Lad Museum in Byculla, to catch Sameer Kulavoor's solo 'Limits of the Town' that engages with the maximum city and the Museum collection. We'll be exploring Sam's works ranging from his early zines, to his latest drawings and sculptures.
We recommend this activity for ages 7 to 12, but reach out if you have a older one who'd like to join in.
*Parents can drop kids off with us at the Museum ticket counter by 11:25 AM and join the Museum's regular weekend tour, and collect them after their session at 1 PM. You can send along a bottle of water and a snack, to share if they'd like :)
