Inside a living martial arts tradition

This experience takes you into a working kalari, where Kalaripayattu is practised as it has been for generations. You are welcomed into a space that is both physical and spiritual, where movement, discipline, breath and belief come together.

The evening begins with traditional rituals and stories, including the legend of Perinjeril Panicker. You learn foundational movements, understand the philosophy behind the practice and spend time in conversation with the Gurukkal over tea and snacks. Nothing here is staged. You are stepping into a living tradition, exactly as it exists today.
