In the heart of Cochin lies a tale of resilience and belonging. The Jews of Cochin flourished under the Raja of Kochi, who welcomed them with royal privileges etched on copper plates.

When the Portuguese arrived, the Jews lost their principality, but the Raja offered them sanctuary nearby — creating Jewtown. There, they rebuilt their lives, preserving their rich heritage.

One Heart, Two Worlds invites you to walk these historic streets, hear stories of friendship and survival, and witness a legacy that still shapes Cochin today.
