After parking at the fort, and while facing the fort - there’s a set of stairs to the left that lead you down to the famed blue city houses and lanes. Walk through these streets, romanticised by many photographers and Indophile, and get a sense of the day to day lives of the townspeople. End at Raas or the Stepwell Square for a well-deserved drink.
