Mumbai is filled with beautiful legacy and surprises in every lane. But one has to make an effort to peep into them. This walk aims to explore such heritages that lie silently on the busy roads of Mumbai. Beginning with the easily-visible yet often-missed, circa 2000 years old Mahakali caves in Andheri, the participants will get to explore how caves were planned and excavated strategically in the ancient times. We will then proceed to circa 1500 years old Jogeshwari caves to see how heritage sites in Mumbai are waiting to tell their tales to anyone who is eager to hear them.
Join Ms. Yogini Aatreya for this journey from Mahakali to Jogeshwari to understand how different stones were chiseled by the contemporary societies over time and how the society changed with each chiselled stroke.
