In its 10th year, the Museum of Goa is proud to host ‘Goa in Film’, a two-day Konkani Film Marathon, curated by award-winning director Bardroy Barretto.

Goa has always been a place where faith, folklore, and everyday life meet, and where art becomes the bridge between them. This celebration honours that spirit. Through these films, Konkani becomes more than a language, it becomes a landscape. What is spoken carries into gesture, silence, emotion, and light.

Alongside the current exhibition, The Festivals of Goa, which explores the rituals, intensity, and contradictions that shape the Goan experience, Goa in Film offers a contemporary lens. It highlights how Goans see themselves today and the stories they feel compelled to tell, stories that are personal, urgent, and deeply local.
