Next to the 'Training Ship Chanakya (TSC) – Indian Maritime University,' on Palm beach road lies an approximately 13-hectare tidal wetland enveloped by mangroves, commonly known as Chanakya/TSC wetland. This diverse landscape attracts a significant congregation of birds, particularly in the winter months.

This area serves as a biodiversity haven, highlighting its ecological significance.

This area along with nearby waterbodies also hosts thousands of flamingos every year from January to May. at the onset of monsoons these birds start migrating back.

Their sighting is dependent on the tide timing and will differ everyday so please check the actual time before confirming.
