Join us for a unique Flamingo Watching Boat Ride at Thane Creek, starting from the Bhandup Pumping Station (BPS) side, one of the most important wetland habitats in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
This scenic boat ride takes you through the calm backwaters and mangrove lined channels of Thane Creek Flamingo Sanctuary, offering an excellent opportunity to observe Flamingoes in their natural feeding grounds. Depending on the season and tidal conditions, participants may also spot a wide variety of resident and migratory birds such as Marsh Harriers, Kingfishers, Sandpipers, Plovers, Egrets, Herons, Cormorants, and other wetland species.
The Bhandup Pumping Station area is ecologically significant due to its mix of mudflats, mangroves, and open waters, which together support rich biodiversity. The boat ride is conducted at a safe and responsible distance, ensuring minimal disturbance to birds while allowing participants to enjoy meaningful wildlife sightings and photography.
