Fishing with the Locals!

On this trail, you go around the quiet village of Assolna with a focus on the fishing community and their lives. You explore the different traditional techniques used to fish by riding on a boat and getting a hands-on experience. Your guides will take you around local markets and show you the different varieties of fish that the locals catch. After which, you get onto the boats used by the fisherman to shadow them for their trip. Throw nets into the water, try your hand with the local fishing rods they have on board for you and who knows, you might go home a winner! If you’re up for it, roll up your pants and jump into the water to catch some clams with your feet. The local fisherman are going to be with you throughout showing you the various techniques used by them to fish along with some interesting stories from their adventures. Once you’ve got your catch, you’ll be treated to a delicious local Goan meal! And don’t worry, we’ve got something for vegetarians to eat as well. This experience will give you a feeling of fishing with the excitement of landing a good catch. You’ll also be immersed in traditional stories and techniques and leave refreshed and enlightened.
