At Dorian House, we have celebrated jazz ever since we threw open our doors to the public in March of 2022. On this occasion of International Jazz Day 2025, we have big plans. Paying homage to our favorite genre of music are 4 stellar acts from Auroville and Bangalore, who will perform across 2 evenings. Welcome to EMBRACE, where we encourage you to embrace all things jazz.

DAY 1 - April 25th

The first evening kicks off with–

Quos Ego:

Testing the nature of improvisation, which plays a huge role in jazz, Quos Ego performs in the moment, for the moment. With projected movie clips and animated videos serving as inspiration, Dhani Muniz on guitar and Aman Mahajan on keyboard compose unique pieces and soundscapes on the fly. This event takes place in the pit at Dorian House. Come by expecting the unexpected and see what it means for musicians on top of their game to create magic from thin air.

Akshada Krishnan Trio:

Goa-based pianist Akshada Krishnan brings her contemporary jazz set to Auroville, accompanied by Dhani Muniz on bass and Rohit PS on drums. Performing tunes that fall under the new school of jazz, with compositions by modern masters like Avishai Cohen, Shai Maestro and Ambrose Akinmusire, this set promises to be be exciting and innovative, compelling all listeners to look at jazz in new light. Head up to our terrace space to fully soak in this performance.

The second evening has–

BEGINNINGS
