We are super excited to host a Cyanotype Printing workshop inspired by the exhibition 'Cosmic Frequencies: Consciousness and Quantum Cosmology in Art' at Lakeeren Contemporary. This engaging, hands-on workshop introduces participants to cyanotype printing, an early photographic technique that uses UV light to create stunning blue images. Inspired by the exhibition’s exploration of science, consciousness, and cosmology, the workshop will investigate how light, time, and materials interact to create unique visual compositions.
Participants will create their own cyanotype prints using a selection of provided objects such as circular petri dishes and translucent or reflective items like beads, evoking imagery of planets, moons, and scientific instruments. These materials will echo the celestial and scientific themes of the exhibition. The session offers a guided, yet playful, opportunity to experiment with perspective, composition, and cosmic imagery using this historic, light-based printing process!
